Sonos today announced the Sonos PLAY:3

The new Sonos PLAY:3 is priced at £259 making it an affordable entrance into the world of Sonos or an extension to your existing Sonos music system.

I was lucky enough to have a demo of the PLAY:3 about a month ago when it was know as project Fenway. What can I say this small unit lives up to the Sonos name, giving a natural, powerful sound despite it’s size, and gives a wonderful stereo mix when paired together. The PLAY:3 is perfect as a start to your Sonos system paired with the Sonos Bridge (formally Zonebridge) at the new low price of £39, or to expand to a few more rooms in the house, the study, kitchen or fixed to the wall in the lounge with the standard speaker mounting socket built-in to the back of the unit.
